Approach a problems and opportunities by creating a detailed vision of the result you want to achieve. Then deconstruct it, step-by-step.
I like to visualize the desired result as a brick house that I am tearing down one brick at a time that will then be reassembled in a different location. The “bricks” are the pieces of the new product, project, or idea that will become the final result.
I’ve used this technique for many years and now it provides me the ability to rapidly address both problems and opportunities very rapidly. This rapid response allows me to capitalize on issues while others are still contemplating action.
